Training on the Somerset Levels with our dogs and their buddies Paul and Amanda's Salmo and Bella in Lead, with our Snak and Laika in swing, kara and Snik in team and Paul and Amanda's Moyie and Sweetie in wheel oh and Mr Keen and Mr Evs in a very dodgy hat on the back coming back in. May we have spent time training the dogs and maintaining our equipment and making new bits and pieces for the 2014 / 2015 season. We spent a lovely chill out weekend at the very last ABSA fun weekend. Temps were a bit warm to do anything working wise so it was nice to relax with the dogs and a nice bottle of pimms with friends. We entered Laika in the working dog fun dog show under Lynn Harrison in a mixed entry of malamutes and sibes and she came fourth place. BATH DOG SHOW 2014 - Judge Debbie Penniston-Fleming Bath is one of our nearest doggy events we thought we would pop an entry in for Laika in PGB for a day out. We both love our show days as it's great to see other breeds of dogs and watch sibes in the ring and have a giggle (and cake) with friends and Laika loves a fuss being made of her. Bath was a mud bath with lots of vans and cars getting stuck in the carpark and an abundance of wellies. I carried Laika through the carpark so she wouldn't get her feet mucky much to her disgust, Laika is in season and was very fidgety in the show ring, coupled with Matt taking her show lead away with him on his course I didn't do a very good job showing her but she did get VHC out of nine entries which we were surprised by as the entry was mostly made up of European imports. Full results can be seen here http://www.dog.biz/cgi-bin/generateShowResults.cgi?showId=449&breed=SIBERIAN%20HUSKY&action=show_breed. Huge thankyou to Angie Johns for getting these pics of Laika on the move. Our new tailor made rig bags arrived from the talented Debs Owen of Keilgo Sprint team see https://www.facebook.com/pages/Keilogo-Sprint-EQU/130141380499377?fref=ts. Brown dog likes them! Alot of race orgs now do not require rig bags so we got some smaller rig bags made to carry some emergency essentials whilst we are out on the trail these include leads with couplers, a penknife, dog boots and a mobile phone. Rig bags also make good mud guards too! Our next doggy related events are Champ show in June, Three Counties at Malvern Show ground under Breed specialist Bruce Hall and Windsor under Breed specialist Nigel Luxmore - Ball.
