Matt was entered into the 3 dog class with Cass in wheel with Laika and Kara in lead and the girls had a brilliant run making up four minutes on one competitor however half a mile from the finish Laika slipped on the trail and Matt decided not to continue running for fear of damage to the pads on the flinty, hard wet surfaces. The 3 dog trail was 3.4 miles and on the second day this was reduced to 2 miles to take in account the temperature and humidity. On the second day Matt decided to boot Kara and Cass up and give them a gentle, steady run so ran the two girls in the three dog class and came seventh in the class from his time with the two girls on the Sunday only. Laika was back at the van keeping an eye on Brown Dog and the puppies who had a fabulous time getting cuddles and attention. I ran Snik and Snak and we placed third over the weekend, the two dog class was reduced to 2 miles both days due to the temperatures and the boys motored around but even though I booted the boys I did apply the brakes quite alot as I didn't want the dogs to have trouble with the surfaces. Big thankyou to Jason Brown Photography who took these pictures of our teams on the Sunday.

Our friend and Mally Man John Binding took Huxley and Tonrar out for a run on the recreation class, his first two dog sibe team. Sibes don't have time to read the signs John! The boys love Uncle John and they had a jolly time on the two mile trail.
