Having lots of fun getting the dogs out for runs and have been mixing things up training at different forests with friends. Inspired by videos of long distance racers this has enabled us to practice passing skills and turning teams around on the trail and general trail etiquette. We have never had any issues passing or being passed with our dogs, our dogs being of a friendly, secure disposition and they handled head on passings with malamate teams, and general passing with no problems at all. Turning the dogs around mid trail is proving interesting especially with the youngsters who just want to run but practice makes perfect and will be a useful tool to have in the bag should any potential incidents happen with a trail like a tree down which we have experienced before.
